Sanderson Arcade bridal seamstress nominated for top regional wedding industry award

Morpeth seamstress Eleanor
Richardson has been selected as a regional finalist in the prestigious Wedding
Industry Awards.
Eleanor owns Bridal Reloved at
Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth which she runs alongside her alternation service
Sew What UK – one of ten businesses selected for the Yorkshire and North East
region finals in the annual awards.
Established in 2011, the Wedding
Industry Awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in the
Wedding Industry in a range of categories – celebrating
everything from cakes to venues, photographers and dress makers.
Sew What UK is a specialist
bridal alternation service with a focus on sustainability – Eleanor is
passionate about transforming unused gowns into pieces that are suitable for
the modern bride and can be enjoyed again.
The company works with preloved
and ex sample designer wedding dresses - often at half their original price.
Where possible Sew What UK use salvaged and recycled fabrics to complete
alterations.
Eleanor is the only “Seamstress
or Tailor” finalist from Northumberland and one of only three from the
northeast, with the others all based in Yorkshire. The company has
also been shortlisted in the Best Newcomer Award.
The regional winners will be
announced at an award ceremony in County Durham on November 11th after
a rigorous judging process.
Eleanor said: “I am over the moon to be selected as a regional finalist in the awards, the judging is really tough so its fantastic to have been selected to be a finalist in two categories.” Bridal Reloved opened at Sanderson Arcade in May 2022 and has built up a great following across the region.

done so well the achieve this nomination and to go through as a regional
finalist, all the team from the Arcade wish her all the very best with the next
stage of the awards.”
Bridal Reloved Morpeth offers off the peg designer gowns at half the RRP
and high end pre-owned wedding dresses.
Wedding dresses are either brand new, ex-sample or worn once and cleaned.
