Morpeth Continues the Festive Feels with this Weekend’s Farmers’ Market
28 November 2022
Morpeth’s December Farmers’ Market is held this Saturday in the Market Square with a great selection of foodie and craft favourites to choose from.
Popular, local producers joining the line-up this month include Geordie Bangers, Bake for the Soul with their delicious, sweet treats and The Honey Store.
Santa’s Grotto will also be open at Sanderson Arcade outside Mint Velvet on Saturday from 11am until 3pm. Children will get to meet Santa and receive a small gift by making a minimum £1 donation which goes to the centre’s adopted charity, Calmer Therapy.
Calmer Therapy supports children with additional needs and disabilities and their families. The charity has centres in Stobhill, Morpeth and Berwick and their services cover the whole of the Northeast and Scottish Borders.
The Salvation Army brass band will also be performing Christmas favourites getting shoppers in the festive mood.
Assistant Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Kaitlin Hattle, said: “We love Christmas at the Arcade and can’t wait to hold another weekend of festive fun and treats for our shoppers and families to enjoy.
“Our Christmas lights are looking stunning this year with so many people already visiting to have a selfie by the Christmas tree with the angel wings.”
The festive fun doesn’t stop there this weekend as the Jazz Men will be performing at the Arcade on Sunday. For those fancying a dance whilst sipping mulled wine on Baluga’s Terrace, they will be in the piazza area from 12 – 4pm.
Many of the stores at Sanderson Arcade are full to the brim with the ideal Christmas gift ideas to ensure there's plenty to browse whilst soaking up the festive atmosphere and enjoying the Christmas lights displays at the centre.
Morpeth Market is managed by Northumberland County Council and Sanderson Arcade, working in partnership with Morpeth Town Council.
