28 September 2020

Morpeth’s popular markets are being relaunched this weekend with a special two-day Farmer’s Market running on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October from 9am-3pm.

The town’s Farmer’s Market celebrated its 20th anniversary last year marketing two decades of fresh and delicious produce which continues to attract shoppers on the first Saturday of every month.

This weekend’s market will host a great range of traders from freshly baked artisan breads from Bread and Roses to the delicious Geordie Banger sausages. The market will also include Northern Ark Nursery, Kitty’s Homemade Ginger Wine, Geordie Bangers, Ridley’s Fish and Game, Murphy’s Kitchen, Jimmy the Lamb Man, Moorehouse Farm, The Yolker, Wooly Eric, Ginka and The Honey Store.

The relaunch of the Morpeth Markets will also see a range of new themed markets being launched throughout October and November. A monthly street food market will launch on Saturday 24th October and a festive market will be launched in November and December. These new markets will all run alongside the weekly Wednesday Market and the monthly Farmers Market.

All markets will be organised to ensure to provide a safe experience for both customers, visitors and traders. A one-way system will be in place as well as other social distancing and COVID-19 control measures.
