COOK opens at Sandersons Arcade - bringing delicious, hand prepared frozen meals and puddings to Morpeth!

The award-winning independent and ethical food retailer COOK has opened its doors to the Morpeth community.
The ribbon was cut at the company’s new Sanderson Arcade store on April 11th, by “local hero” Calli Tully.
COOK marks the opening of all of its new stores by inviting local shoppers to nominate their hero who goes above and beyond for the community. After undergoing major heart surgery as a teenager, Calli was nominated because of all the time she has dedicated to raising money and lifting the spirits of people in a similar position.
As well as officially opening the shop, Calli was given £100 in COOK vouchers, and the chance to donate £100 to a charity of their choice on behalf of the company.
Shoppers were welcomed into the shop by the team who were also serving delicious tasters of some of their meals and puddings.
Matthew Bourne, Retail Director, said ‘We have been looking to open a shop in the North East and this is our first shop in this area. We are really excited to be here and be an active part of the local community.”
The store which can be found next door to Central Bean and Weird Fish at Sanderson Arcade.

The store is another retail first for the Arcade, with the closest COOK stand-alone store being in Edinburgh.
The company has recruited 8 new members of staff to work at the new Morpeth store.
